My gluten free cookbooks are based, whenever possible, on the use of wholesome, fresh, nutritious ingredients that are from our garden or farmer's markets. We had the opportunity to make the Sunday Pancake with Raspberry Sauce for a group meeting and I used your notes to save time and I had some homemade blackberry jelly that I diluted a bit and warmed in the microwave to top the pancake and it was WONDERFUL! Everyone raved about this recipe.

"My desire was to create cookbooks that could aid in making gluten free cooking a positive and rewarding experience. In the process, I hoped that my cookbooks could also assist in bringing what seemed to be missing in any celiac or gluten sensitive adult or child’s dining repertoire full circle to an abundance of choices and satisfying dishes to cook up for an individual or for an entire family.

There should be nothing missing in what can be created in the kitchen for a celiac or someone desiring to cook gluten free. The selection of recipes in my cookbooks cover the gamut of cooking from recipe basics in all categories: quick and easy offerings, a diverse kid’s selection, generous breads and desserts , a vast assortment of casseroles and main dishes, soups, salads, and side dishes, breakfast or brunch recipes, American classics, as well as ethnic and gourmet offerings."

Celiac Sprue is not an allergy and those with celiac disease are gluten intolerant. Food allergies and wheat sensitivity or wheat or food allergies are much different than having celiac disease, however wheat free and gluten free cookbooks can be helpful for those with food allergies. Wheat free recipes and gluten free recipes and wheat free and gluten free cookbooks are required for those with wheat sensitivities and gluten intolerance. Some gluten free recipes and cookbooks can contain wheat, and some wheat free foods DO contain gluten. Example: Oats are wheat free and gluten free, but are frequently contaminated from other grains in processing. Wheat free recipes are more often available than gluten free recipes, but in recent years, gluten free and wheat free cookbooks containing both have become more common. Wheat free recipes and gluten free cooking and gluten free recipes and cooking for Celiacs , those with food allergies and wheat-sensitive or wheat allergy individuals can be challenging and difficult at times. Cooking without wheat and gluten can be very satisfying, but it does take time to develop wheat free and gluten free cooking skills and recipes can be adapted from regular non-wheat free or non-gluten free recipes. Special recipes are available for all types of food sensitivities and food allergies , not just for wheat and gluten intolerant individuals .
