I was raised on a large farm in the Midwest. My family raised cattle, goats, and occasionally chickens. We farmed soybeans, corn, and wheat. I remember riding around at harvest time in huge wagons filled with wheat!
In the summers we raised strawberries and sold them from our quaint roadside stand. We fished from our creek, and hunted wild mushrooms and picked wildflowers from our woods in the Spring. Summer weekends were often spent at the shores of Lake Erie, where we would also also pick the sweetest fresh peaches in the world!
